Outgoing Port: 465

IMPORTANT: CHECK CUSTOM GMAIL SETTINGS

Standard Gmail accounts connect reliably with Talkler. There are just a couple custom Gmail settings that can still interfere:

:: If you have turned on Gmail's 2-step verification, try turning it off, to see if that resolves the problem. (Talkler doesn't yet support Gmail's 2-step verification, officially.)

:: Check that you've selected the correct IMAP or POP tab at the top of the Talkler Add Account screen. (Some users carefully enter the correct server and port settings, but don't notice the IMAP or POP selection.)

:: Check that Google hasn't disabled Basic Authentication for your Gmail account. Here's how: http://talkler.com/fix-gmail-basic-authentication

:: Even expert users sometimes mistype passwords — especially on smartphones. For this reason, we suggest deleting any nonworking account setup, and starting fresh. (Talkler types out your password twice for both Incoming and Outgoing servers when you start fresh, which reduces the chance of a typing error.)

IF YOU STILL CAN'T CONNECT: SCREENSHOTS

Assuming your email account is working in the built-in iOS Mail app (let us know if it's not)... We can often spot problems that aren’t apparent to users, when we can compare side-by-side BOTH your Talkler app settings, and your existing Mail app settings (already on your iPhone). It’s easy and secure. Here’s how share those screenshots: https://talkler.zendesk.com/entries/52573265-Sending-screenshots-of-BOTH-your-Talkler-and-iOS-Mail-app-settings
