Settings Help for Yahoo and SBC Global Email Users

We've heard from a few SBC Global email users having trouble connecting their accounts.

YAHOO ACCOUNTS — INCLUDING SBCGLOBAL.NET

The following settings typically work well with Talkler and standard* Yahoo email accounts, and also sbcglobal.net accounts:

IF you're using a POP account: 
Incoming Host = pop.mail.yahoo.com, Port = 995, SSL = On 
Outgoing Host = smtp.mail.yahoo.com, Port = 465, SSL = On 
Note: Be sure to use your full email address for your username

IF your using an IMAP account: 
Incoming Host = imap.mail.yahoo.com, Port = 993, SSL = On 
Outgoing Host = smtp.mail.yahoo.com, Port = 465, SSL = On 
Note: Be sure to use your full email address for your username

TRY Outgoing Port = 587 (in place of 465) if the above settings don't work. 

*Yahoo has had special partnerships with certain phone carriers over the years. The email accounts offered through those partnerships sometimes have non-standard setups. SBC Global accounts have proven especially tricky. If the above settings don't work for you, we recommend contacting tech support for your phone company.
